Spiderman Invites: Plan Your Invitations The Heroic Way

Spiderman is the favorite superhero of kids and adults alike. Superheroes, action, web-slinging.Could there be a better boy birthday theme than Spiderman? I think not. But that’s besides the point. To enchant lil spider fans you need-equally heroic invitations. So, without further ado:
Spiderman Heroic Invite: DIY!
Start crafting!

1. The Paper Spider Invitation Card

Materials:
  • Thick black construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Wiggle eyes
  • Crayons or colored pencils
  • Silver sparkle pen
Steps:
  1. Cut out a rectangular card. Write the wording you want with the crayons or the silver sparkle pen, “silver” to give in the feel of the web.
  2. Now it’s the turn of the paper spider. Cut out an oval shape and small circle from the black construction paper. The oval shaped is the spider’s body and the circle one is the head of it.
  3. Then come the legs. Cut 4 thin strips from, the thick black construction paper. Make the strips at least 4 time as long as the spider’s oval body.
  4. Glue the round head onto the oval body.
  5. Then glue the four pairs of legs on the body, leaving equal sized legs on the both sides of the oval shaped body.
  6. Crease each of the eight legs in the middle.
  7. Glue some wiggle eyes (spiders have more than two eyes), or draw the eyes with crayons if wiggle eyes are not available.
  8. Finish it up by gluing it onto the card!
  9. Your Paper Spider Heroic Invitation Card is ready!

2. The Paper Plate Spider Web

Materials:
  • Colorful paper plates
  • Spun thread used for knitting
  • Glue
Steps:
  1. Cut half inch long cuts around the colorful paper plate. You can also mark them before cutting them.
  2. Choose a colorful spun thread that contrasts with the color of the plate. Cut the thread into long pieces- the longer they’re, the better it is.
  3. Begin weaving the spun thread across and around the plate in a random pattern, fitting into the cuts.
  4. When the spun thread runs out, tie its ends around any crisscrossing strands at the back of the plate. You can continue weaving until you are satisfied with the woven web.
  5. Glue a paper spider on it, crafting it the way told above.
  6. Glue this paper spider web on your card!
  7. Your super heroic card is ready!
Tips: You can add wordings such as quotes by Spiderman, each different for every card. E.g. “With great power comes great responsibility. This way the card would teach some of the amazing leadership lessons of Spiderman! And the kids can share the different quotes among themselves too.

Christmas Party Themes That Will Always be in Demand

This Christmas, stay away from the traditional approach and get everyone into the holiday spirit by choosing a specific theme rather than taking up Christmas itself as the theme of your party. Choosing a theme will give you a basic structure for your preparations along with giving a coordinated look to your celebrations. Carry this theme through every step of your party, starting from the invitations to the favors. Here are some popular Christmas Party Ideas and themes that will never lose their charm.

Snowflake Theme
This is an evergreen theme for winter festivities. Come up with an elegant and appealing decoration to transform your house into a snow land. Cover the trees and a major portion of your party area with artificial snowflakes. Use snowflake Christmas ornaments for decorating your party venue. Have a life-size Snowman at the entrance and a smaller one for your party table. Spread out a white table cover and use red colored Christmas party supplies to serve food to your guests. Send your guests home with some homemade cookies and chocolates.

‘Christmas Vacation’ Theme
Invite all the fans of this movie for a character party. Ask them to dress up as their favorite character and wear ugly Christmas sweaters. Over-decorate the party venue, by using lots of Christmas lights, a big Christmas tree, colorful streamers, and other Christmas Party Supplies. Incorporate the elements of the movie as much as possible and after a sumptuous dinner, play this movie, sit together, and enjoy your winter vacations.

Disco Theme
This 70’s inspired Christmas party idea is sure to excite your guests, as they will get a chance to wear those giant bell-bottoms, colorful trousers, knee high boots, etc. and dance till the midnight. The best decoration for such a party would be to set up a perfect discotheque environment. Have a dance floor with a mirrored disco ball just above it; serve classic drinks such as Martini, tequila sunrise, etc. Right music that will get people to the dance floor is the key to a successful disco party and therefore, take professional help if needed.

Circus Party Theme
This Christmas, spread happiness and laughter by throwing a circus theme party. Ask your guests to dress up as various circus characters such as clowns, jugglers, circus animals, etc. This will help you to create a perfect circus environment for your party. Decorate your house with brightly colored streamers, buntings, lights, etc. and serve circus related food such as popcorn, candyfloss, burger, and hotdog. If you have a good budget, hire performers to entertain your guests.

Christmas festivities are a great way to meet your family and friends, spend some quality time with them, and enjoy the holiday season. Make sure you plan your celebration well in advance so that you can stay away from the last minute mess-ups.

Halloween Party Invitations That Will Excite Your Guests For Your Big Monster Mash

Halloween is one of those holidays that people look forward to. Come 31st October and everyone, whether kids or adults, will be busy celebrating this day by dressing up like witches or devils and playing trick-or-treat. This is an occasion when people organize lots of parties and celebrate some special social moments. If you are planning to host a stupendous party, here are some Halloween Party Ideas that will help you to gear up your guests for this special celebration.

Zombie Theme Invitation:
Choose any Zombie picture available over the net and print it out on printer paper or construction paper. Either print or write your party details on it to complete your invitations. For giving it a spooky look, you can put on some blood red colored ink on it and let it dry. Zombie theme invitations do not have to be scary; you can have some fun element in it either by using pictures of cute zombies or by using funny invitation wordings such as ‘We want brains but will settle for a party’. Such invites are readily available at stores that sell Halloween Party Supplies; however, you can always use your own creativity to come up with something unique.
Skull Invitation:
Why not scare your invites by sending them a skull as an invite? Buy some ready-made skulls, cardboard boxes to enclose them and some springs. Glue the spring to the inside bottom of the box and glue the skull to the upper part of the spring. Instead of gluing, you can use the fishing wire to attach the skull to the spring. Once done, push the skull downwards and close the box firmly in a way that when someone tried to open it, the skull will pop up. Tie it up with a ribbon to make it look cute and attractive. Write your message on the box and request the recipients to open it for a sweet surprise. Your invitees will certainly love this extra-ordinary Halloween Party Idea.
Horror Movie Invite:
A DVD of ‘The Uninvited’ or ‘Exorcist’ would be the best invitation for your party. Write your invitation on the cover of the DVD and mail them across as invites! Instead of DVDs, you can send out the movie posters as invites. Simply choose a poster of your choice and edit it in Photoshop to add your party details and delete the other irrelevant details on it. Take poster-sized printouts and roll them up to form tubes. Your movie poster invites are ready to be used!
Apart from all these, you can always consider the pre-packaged invitations and Halloween Party Supplies available with many party supplies stores. They are the easiest and quickest way to announce your grand celebration.
