Summertime Games For Your Child's Birthday Party

Summertime is here and it’s time to plan greatest birthday bash to entertain the kids. If your little one has a competitive spirit and loves to play games, organizing some fun Birthday Party Games will make the birthday really special.

I have some really interesting ideas for kid’s party activities which you can consider for your little one’s birthday party. These ideas will surely help you to plan a birthday bash that kids will never forget.

Water Balloon Volleyball
Transform the standard game of volleyball into an amazing water game. Divide your party guests into two teams and put a rope between two trees. Have a small or medium-sized balloon filled with water and ask the teams to flip the balloon to over the rope to the other team.
If one team misses or drops the water balloon volleyball, the other team gets a point.

Tip: Have 10-15 water balloon volleyball ready before starting the game.

Homemade obstacle course

Kids love to perform different physical activities and jumping over the obstacles. You can create a homemade obstacle course having a series of activities. The kids have to begin the course from the starting line and race through a series of obstacles to finish it.
You can include cardboard boxes to crawl or series of old tires to cross before reaching the finishing line.

Squirt Gun paintball

Squirt Gun paintball is one of the amazing Kids Party Games which is loved by the little ones. Plan the Squirt Gun paintball in an open area.
To plan the activity, you will require Squirt Guns, White T-shirts, Food coloring and huge things to hide behind.
Dive the guests in two teams and have all of them put on white t-shirts. One team should stand on the one side of the field and other team on the other side. Each member of the team will have Squirt Guns filled with food color and when you say ‘go’, they should try to squirt each other with guns.

These Kids Party Games will surely help you to plan an exciting bash for your activity lover.

How to make Curious George Party Cake

Are you planning a Curious George birthday party for your little one and curious to know how to prepare a yummy and beautiful birthday cake? I have a recipe to help you make an exotic and adorable peanut-butter monkey cake which is complete fun.

 Ingredients

1 package 1-layer sized chocolate cake mix
½ cup canned white frosting
2 tablespoon peanut butter
1 cup canned chocolate frosting
2 cups chocolate-flavor crisp rice cereal
2 chocolate kisses
1 purchased large, soft peanut butter cookie
1 banana
Lemon juice

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350o F. Prepare the cake mix according to the package directions and bake in an 8x1 ½-inch round baking pan. Remove cake from pan and cool as directed on the package. Invert cake onto serving plate.
  2. In a small bowl, stir together white frosting and peanut butter. Use the mixture to frost the top centre of the cake in the shape of a monkey face. Place 1-2 tablespoons of the chocolate frosting in a plastic bag and set it aside.
Frost the rest of the cake with remaining chocolate frosting and pat the cereal into the chocolate frosting only. Snip one small corner off the plastic bag and pipe in nose and mouth. Place two chocolate kisses pointed side down onto the face for the eyes.
  1. Break the peanut butter cookie and place the halves on each side of the cake for ears. Before serving, peel a banana and brush the peel with lemon juice to prevent browning. Place the peel on plate above the monkey head.
Makes 8 servings.

Luau Party Activities That Will Provide Ultimate Summertime Fun To Your Guests

For hosting a successful party, you need to think beyond the standard party aspects such as decorations and food. People, especially kids expect lots of fun and entertainment at parties and you, as a host, must plan some entertaining games and activities to keep them involved throughout the party. When kids are in a playful mood, they are least bothered about the decoration or food; all they want is fun. If you are planning a luau party for your child, these luau party games are sure to create a light, lively, and fun atmosphere.

Limbo

No luau party would be complete without a limbo. To play this luau party game, you will need a rod or a stick. A curtain rod will also work. Choose two adults to hold the either ends of the pole. Have your guests put on the grass skirts and flower leis, turn on some Hawaiian music, and ask them to go under the pole by only leaning and not crawling. Once the whole group has passed, lower the pole by a few inches. Anyone who loses his/her balance and falls down is out of the game. Keep repeating this process until you are left with just one player, who will be the winner.

Coconut bowling

Collect 10 empty 2 liter soda bottles and fill them half way with sand so that they stay still till they are bowled. To increase the excitement among kids, decorate the bottles by wrapping grass skirts around them. Arrange them as you would arrange the pins and ask the kids to knock them down using a real coconut. You may use a ball but a coconut will give the kids an authentic luau experience. In order to keep them motivated, award the winners by giving away some Luau Party Supplies

Hula dance

Hire a dance instructor to teach some hula dance moves to your guests. Kids are sure to love this wonderful Luau party idea. Let them dance for a while and later, you may host a short hula dance competition among them. This will be a good change over the conventional patterned party games. If you have a small budget, you can play some hula dance videos and ask the kids to replicate them.

Pass the hot coconut

Twist the conventional ‘pass the hot potato’ game and rename it as ‘pass the hot coconut’. Play some hula music, let the kids sit in a circle, and ask the kids to pass the coconuts around the circle. Whenever the music is stopped, the person holding the coconut will be out of the game.

Apart from these luau party games, we also offer many unique and interesting Luau party ideas that are sure to help you plan an authentic luau. Also, browse our adorable collection of Luau party supplies such as tableware, decorations, favor, etc. to plan a grand party within your budget.

Easter Craft Ideas To Keep the Kids Busy During This Spring Holiday

If you haven’t started preparing for Easter, it’s high time you think of some special projects to do with your little ones. This spring holiday is often associated with lots of creative crafts that are often enjoyed by kids. From making chickens to hunting for the eggs left by the mysterious Easter bunny, let this holiday be full of fun and excitement for them. Here are two Easter craft ideas that are sure to keep them busy for days.

Confetti eggs

Your little kids would love to smash these eggs at your Easter party or may be in the evening while having fun with their friends. This Easter decoration idea is suitable for children above 5 years but make sure you do not leave them unattended while they are working on these crafts.
  • Hold the egg in a way that the less pointed end is on the top. Firmly prick the top of the egg using a metal skewer. If the hole is too small, remove some part of the shell in order to enlarge it. This will be helpful in removing the content with ease.
  • Let the eggs dry completely.
  • Ask your kids to spray paint them using various bright colors.
  • Let the paint dry. Meanwhile encourage them to make the confetti filler.
  • Give them a hole puncher, bright colored craft sheets, tissue papers, etc. and ask them to punch out circles. Once they have punched enough holes, collect them in a bowl and mix in glitters, and prepackaged metallic confetti to give a bright look to the mixture.
  • Once the paint is dry, let the kids fill in the mixture in the eggs through the holes and seal them by gluing tissue paper.

Sequin party ball

The glittery balls hanging from the ceiling are a classic party décor. Why not ask your kids to make some of them for your upcoming Easter party?
  • Buy them the required supplies such as foam balls of any size you desire, multicolored sequins, stick pins or glue, and chenille stems.
  • Poke the chenille stem inside the foam ball and bend the outer end inwards to form a loop required for hanging it from the ceiling.
  • Ask your kids to paste the sequins on the balls using white craft glue. Let the sequins overlap in order to give the ball a whimsical look. Teens and tweens can use stick pins instead of craft glue to attach the sequins but make sure you supervise them in order to avoid any injury.
These Easter craft ideas are sure to keep the kids busy preparing for the holiday along with boosting their creativity.
